Defining Vision
Vision is not the same thing as an ambition, goal or dream. These are things any man can conjure. Vision’s Source is Spiritual, it soars from above. It must contain pure thought or it will encompass both Good and Evil. The Significance of Individual Worth that Vision instills takes one beyond the ambition emitted when a charismatic leader declares, “I have a Dream,” for Vision is a plan that goes beyond Hope. Vision does not travel alone. It is accompanied by Zeal, not the frenzy of an energized crowd, but the Security of Person that is generated in the comfort of a “like minded pride of lions” enabling the Warrior to be patient and generous with his enemies. Visions slowest yet strongest ally is not given to bursts of enthusiasm or the doldrums of despair, it walks it course true to the Stewardship of Discipline that adds the profitable third dimension of doing business in a way our enemies do not understand, and a way that provides for all the participants.
The New American
The New American has the Vision of the Eagle, the Zeal of the Lion, and the Heart of the Ox. Vision, seeing the big picture from the Creator’s perspective, makes one a worthy Ambassador of a righteous cause. Zeal from the Lion of the Tribe of Yahuda compels the Warrior to recruit partisans to expand the Vision and defend the Cause against all enemies. The Ox’s Heart of Discipline enables the business person day after day to do what needs to be done. Where does one find this Vision coupled with such resolve? Is it just for mystics gained only through deprivation and self torture? Is this something even the lame, the outcast, and the afflicted could grasp?
The Yah-way to Vision
Paul, the writer of the letter to the Colossians penned an interesting concept in verses 26 & 27 of chapter 1. In essence, he spoke of a mystery hidden but finally revealed, a mystery which contained glory and hope, a mystery which was the Anointed One indwelling individuals with His identity and abilities. He goes on to explain how this was to be a corporate aspect, no one individual was to be given it all. It would take the whole body of believer in any one locality to demonstrate what the Anointed One was doing in that region. Paul refers to this indwelling as giftings and calls them ascension gifts, referring and thereby equating them in importance to the first gift promised by Yahshua at His Ascension, namely the Breath of Ha Shem. This inclusion of the next five giftings yields a total of six which coincides nicely with the number of man.
The Six Part Nature of Human Kind
All humans have six identifiable aspects to their Nature: Our Will, the determiner, which is influenced by our Conscience, our subjective essence and also by our Mind, our objective side. These forces are supplemented by our Emotions (subjective) and our Heart (objective empathy center based on experience). The four forces of dynamic tension must be supervised by our Self Control, that which enables the Will to accomplish its “Vision”. How does this information get woven into the tapestry that is to become our life? How can we transition from the Spiritual into the Physical realm?
Vision Quest’s Destiny: The Four Living Creatures
Ezekiel’s vision of the four living creatures and John’s reference as having witnessed these four living creatures singing the song of salvation with the rest of the human hosts of heaven gives us cause to pause and ponder the ramifications. These creatures all had the face of a man, but they also contained the faces of an eagle, lion, and an ox. Since four is the number of completion, it would serve us well to realize that to understand all the potential that a man or woman has can be demonstrated by the metaphors of male and female eagle, male and female lion, and male and female ox adding up to a total of six. Not one of them was all man, all ox, all lion, or all eagle. Apparently it takes at least a set of four to express all that the Anointed One wants to be in any location. One could easily see this as a reference to the maturity levels of the individuals: Wizened Elders, seasoned warriors, young soldiers, and the youth, studying to qualify for their place in the sun. The gender of the person does not matter as much as the gender of the office. Any person of any gender can fill any office if the Messiah should choose. However, the office does have its rank and gender. In Spiritual matters the headship genders are called the Apostle, our Will {Eagle), Prophet, our Conscience (Lion), and Teacher, our Mind (Ox). As to rank, the Apostle is the head, and the Prophet and Teacher are the shoulders. The female/help mete offices correspond as follows: The Administrator, our Self Control, is the help mete for the Apostle, the only one he or she can trust to make sure things run on schedule and efficiently for the administrator has no agenda other than that of the Will or Apostle. The necessary counterpart for the Prophet is the Evangelist, our Emotions who demonstrate the sense of confidence necessary to make a “yes” decision. Once a positive response has been given, the Pastor, our Heart, plays the important role of nurturing the young recruits and preparing them for their mentoring by the Teacher. Her responsibility is to identify the student’s Gifting Resource Potential.
Ascension Gifts are not just “Spiritual” Gifts.
Yahweh is complete. He didn’t leave anything out, ever. His gifts include the Business and Political realms as well. Look how easily they fit. In Business the Apostle = CEO, the Prophet = Marketing and The Teacher is the head of Production. Administration, Sales, and Customer Services fall neatly in line. As for Government, we have the Leader, the Law makers, the Judges, and their counter parts, Administration, Enforcement, and Legal Counsel.
Personification of the Six Graces
Each gift also corresponds with the Personification of the Six Graces mentioned in the Book of Solomon’s Proverbs known to us as: Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, Discretion, Discernment and Prudence. These six graces have the major responsibility of supplying the most essential Six Questions know to man: What to do, Why to do it, How to proceed, When things should happen, Where it should take place, and most importantly, With Whom does one Chorus after all the facts are in; Let’s Do It!
So now we see that Wisdom our Will is responsible for discovering What we are to do. In order for this to be accomplished Understanding, our Conscience must weigh in with “Why” it should be done. Understanding and committing to “why” we are doing what we are doing will keep us undaunted in the face of adversity. Knowledge, our Mind will supply us with the necessary “How” to do what we have determined to accomplish while Timing or Discretion is the domain of our emotions having the potential of energizing the group or blowing one’s cover. It is a very responsible position indeed. The Pastor’s heart furnishes the nesting instinct, the discernment of where the vision should be brought forth and when all is said and done, Prudence is the Coach that fields the team and supplies the members with what is needed to “Get ‘er Done”!
Intrinsic Over-ride
For Wisdom to answer the question of “What shall I do with my life”; more must be known than “What is there to do.” One must look at the connative indicators, a term psychologists use to describe that intrinsic something which governs what a person will actually do in a given situation. A connative value will initiate certain activities and resist others. A synopsis of these connative values will therefore reveal what a person has a propensity to do, and what that person will try to avoid. As we all know, heredity and environment will play a big role in forming these connative values and there are many who believe that once the formative years have done their duty, one cannot change. The result is one can take a battery of tests to reveal the activity most compatible with our intrinsic nature and be rightly related to others so placed. Therefore, by factoring in I.Q. with the primary stress avoidance issues the road to vocational fulfillment can be charted. The problem is society’s views of Temperament are based on faulty ancient Hellenistic theories only arguing for four or five different temperaments and therefore ignoring the plethora of Scriptural documentation to the contrary. Four and Five are good numbers, but the number of man is six. The natural man whether religious or secularists has lost access to his sixth dimension that of a Yahweh energized Prudence of Self Control. Natural man has lost access to the Breath of Ha Shem.

Is to mentor partisans in the art of self discovery from Yahweh’s perspective; to discover what part of the team you are, your role in the circle of the Living Creatures and how you relate and compliment all the others. And most importantly how to respond when Prudence says, “Let’s Get ‘er Done!
